I and my family have been vegan for 29 years and vegetarian for 30 years before that. We are all fit and well and my children hold down high pressure jobs - so ignore the naysayers and believe that veganism is a compassionate and healthy way of life. Try to ignore the supermarket vegan offerings and enjoy cooking with fresh, organic ingredients especially chick peas, tofu, beans and lentils. Good luck - there is plenty of help and advice out there.
